Midwest Employers Casualty Company (MECC) Case Study Reducing workers compensation risk for employers The design and development of the site on the Sitefinity platform allowed MECC to handle their audience communication in a different manner. Beginning with the tabbed panel design on the homepage, where all 5 panels feed search content and keywords to the search engines, driving up organic results. Furthermore, Habanero implemented a Sitefinity secured portal that contains internal human resources and benefit information. MECC University, the online training center for employees was significantly enhanced through the use and customization of Sitefinity. The University consists of several different legacy applications that are accessed by login and a specific login credential / permissions set. During the development of the new MECC site, the login process for the University was redeveloped as a single sign on that passed the permissions for that user from sitefinity to the the Cornerstones, Safety Training, Screen2Hire, ResearchLink and Web Seminars 3rd party applications. There is a searchable database of Webinars and administrative tools. On the admin side, MECC can set and edit the categories of videos and on the user side, individuals are able to search and filter results.
